Authorities in the Dominican Republic say a highway accident involving a bus and truck killed 13 people and injured 21. The Caribbean country's transit agency says the cause of the accident is under investigation and hasn't released any details on what happened. Agency spokesman Diego Pesqueira says the crash happened on a road linking the capital of Santo Domingo with the port town of Samana. The director of the hospital in Monte Plata says it received 13 bodies. Dr. Eliezer Cruz says the dead included eight women and a 10-year-old child, AP reported.
