Dr. Khalid bin Mahfouz Bahah, Yemen's Vice President confirmed today that management of dispute and bringing victory to the people's will in Yemen is a joint responsibility of all sincere citizens of the country who should put all their capabilities at the disposal of leaders and organizers to stop killing and destruction. In a press conference held in Riyadh, he vowed that victory is in the offing as long as the people of Yemen are united, determined and steadfast in the side of righteousness and against imbalance of forces that enabled a small party to usurp the country. He called on ordinary people and armed forces men to come to the front lines of those defending the country, citing the golden characters the popular resistance is writing in Yemen's new history in defense of the land, honor and dignity. He honored the martyrs, wishing the injured quick recovery. Bahah stated that the Yemeni government has decided to return to practicing its duties amid complicated and extraordinary circumstances in response to its national sense, calling for release of all political prisoners, citing minister Mahmoud Al-Subaihi. He hailed the improvement of the health situation in some Yemeni provinces, calling this a priority in the field of relief campaign. He called on all regional and international health organizations to pay special attention to the health side and provision of goods and medication, citing a shortage of medicines and spread of epidemics and contagious diseases. He also demanded the world community to mount enough pressure on the Houthi militias to allow relief items reach their humanitarian destinations. He confirmed that relief is of top priority to the Yemeni government at this time. Over the last three weeks, more than 90 percent of Yemenis stranded in Egypt, Jordan and India were transported into the country, he said, adding that the number of those stranded abroad up to this moment amounted to 8450. He praised the role played by Riyadh-based King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Works which he said is paying the cost of transportation of those stranded, noting that upon strenuous efforts of the Yemeni government, it is decided that next week some 1500 Yemenis will be airlifted from Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Tunisia, Ethiopia and Germany into Yemen. --More 20:33 LOCAL TIME 17:33 GMT تغريد
