The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon.
- The Cabinet stressed that the King's inspection tour of the third phase of increasing the accommodation capacity of the circumambulation track and his briefing on the plans outlining the phases of the expansion project of the Grand Mosque estimating the total building area of the Grand Mosque, the track, bridges, and services building after expansion at one million, four hundred and seventy thousand square meters whereas the total number of worshipers reaches nearly 1,850,000 and the capacity of the track at 107,000 circumambulators per hour.
- The King expressed his thanks to the people of Makkah region for their expressions of warm welcome during the pledge of allegiance ceremony in celebration of his assuming the reins of Government and in appreciation and recognition of his efforts towards the religion, the homeland and citizens.
- The Cabinet commended the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Program for Umrah and Visit, being implemented for the first time and hosting 1000 Muslims to perform Umrah rituals every year under the supervision of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance.
- The Cabinet expressed its pride in what the Kingdom enjoys of security, stability and free economic system that provides opportunities for all, without any interference, in accordance with the wise directives and the attention and care of the leadership always looking forward to achieving further decent life and a bright future for the homeland's citizens.
- The Cabinet appreciated the statement issued by the Council of Senior Scholars in Taif Governorate, and its expressions of what Allah Almighty bestowed upon the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since its foundation of many blessings including the religion, the unity of ranks, the service of the Two Holy Mosques, the pledge of allegiance to the rulers on the Holy Quran and Sunnah, and the transfer of power between kings of this country with confidence and tranquility.
-The Cabinet condemned the terrorist crime attempted to target worshipers at Al-Anoud Mosque in Dammam, considering it as a sinful attack by a deviating and reneging religion group which has adopted violence and killing as an approach, sought for corruption on the earth, undermined security and stability and distorted the image of Islam, commending the security authorities for thwarting the attempt of executing the crime.
- The Cabinet commended close cooperation between citizens and security men, stressing that the citizen is the first security man, praying to Allah Almighty for the homeland's continuing security, stability, and prosperity under the wise leadership keen on the application of the provisions of Islamic Sharia on anyone seeking to undermine the security and stability.
