Confederation slots for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups will remain unchanged, with Europe keeping the largest chunk with 13 teams in the 32-team tournaments, the executive committee of the ruling body FIFA decided Saturday. "We decided that slots per confederation would not change, there will be the same number, the same distribution. It was accepted by everyone although some were more grumpy than others," dpa quoted FIFA president Joseph Blatter as saying. Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022 will see Europe with 13 berths, Africa 5, Asia and South America 4.5 each, the CONCACAF region for North and Central America and Caribbean 3.5 and Oceania 0.5. The host teams are directly qualified. The qualifying draw for Russia 2018 is on July 25 in St Petersburg.
