The International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) of the Muslim World League (MWL) has recently distributed a variety of assistance amounting to SR 21,998,000 to those affected by the war in the Republic of Yemen, included large quantities of flour, rice, sugar, oil, ketchup, beans, pasta, tea and milk, from which 500,000 people have benefited. The IIRO Secretary General Ehsan bin Saleh Tayeb pointed out that the Organization distributed this aid through many batches to about half million people in need in Mukalla, Directorate of Broom, Aden, Mahra, Lahj, Dahlia, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout and Socotra and Lahj. He added that the Organization is currently preparing 1000 tons of flour for delivery to the port of Mukalla and distribution to the poor and the needy in various parts of Yemen in collaboration with a number of Yemeni charitable societies.
