US stocks closed on Wednesday little changed as some investors refrained from trading waiting for the next round of economic data at the end of the corporate earnings season. The Dow Jones industrial average lost 7.74, or 0.04 percent, to 18,060.49. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 0.64, or 0.03 percent, to 2,098.48. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index added 5.50, or 0.11 percent, to 4,981.69. The dollar declined 1 percent while the euro topped $1.13. Light sweet crude oil for June delivery dropped 25 cents to $60.50 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, after weekly inventory data showed a second-consecutive decline in buildup. Gold futures climbed $25.80 to $1,218.20 an ounce, its highest close since April 6.
