Published in Saudi Press Agency on 28 - 04 - 2015

Within continuous follow-up of the deviant group's activates who seek to undermine the country's security and terrify citizens and expatriates on its territories as a strategic goal, the security authorities obtained concrete evidence that it is continuing to achieve that goal through criminal plans, the security spokesman of the interior ministry stated today.
The security authorities saw indicators and signs through multi-monitoring operations, resulting in information leading to early discovery of terrorist activities in several regions of the Kingdom. The follow-up operations revealed that these activities reached an advanced stage in preparation for implementing its goals. Accordingly, the security authorities managed to arrest as many as 93, including one female, terror elements at different times and foil their criminal plans as follows:
1- On 3/9/1436H, the security authorities arrested the so-called (Soldiers of the Lands of Two Mosques) terrorist cell, which belongs to ISIS organization abroad. This cell consists of 15 members, all of them are Saudis, led by someone who specializes in manufacturing explosive devices with the rest of the members charged to carry out various roles. Some of them are assigned to coordinate the cell's activities, others are entrusted with financial and security aspects while one of them is assigned with the religious affairs, including issuance of fatwas.
The meetings of this cell were held in the desert areas in Qassim region. Then, the elements of this cell moved to a rented rest house for this purpose. They were keen to be in a secure location where they received a variety of exercises, including explosive industry. They conducted live experiments where they carried out one of them in a hole inside the rest house and another on a booby trap car in a desert area in order to test the power of manufactured explosive devices. They also conducted exercises on shooting and arms firing in multiple locations outside urban areas in preparation for the start of implementing their criminal operations, including targeting security headquarters, housing complexes and assassination of military personnel from various sectors.
Through investigations, the security authorities seized a car once being used by them. The examination of the car's samples and the hole in the rest house showed the confirmed effects of the bombing. Also caught in their possession were chemical materials involved in preparation of explosive mixtures, a laboratory, electric tools used in mixing those materials, manuals on how to prepare them, computers, phones and some deviant thought books.
