At least 28 Taliban fighters including a commander were killed in northern Afghanistan, dpa cited an official as saying Tuesday. "Mullah Mustafa, a prominent Taliban commander was killed along 27 of his comrades by the Afghan security forces Monday night in Imam Sahib district," Kunduz province, Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqqi said. Hundreds of militants surrounded the centre of Imam Sahib late Sunday, but the situation was improving Tuesday after reinforcements arrived, officials said.
