A Palestinian shot by Israeli soldiers near the northern West Bank city of Jenin died early Tuesday, Palestinian hospital sources said, according to dpa. Soldiers opened fire on Muhammad Yehya on Monday night when the 18-year-old was with two other people near the Israel-West Bank separation barrier in the village of al-Araqa, reports said. A bullet penetrated Yehya's thigh and exited from the abdomen, causing severe injuries. He was taken to Rafidya hospital in Nablus, south of Jenin, where he underwent surgery but was later pronounced dead. The army arrested the two other men who were with him, reports said.
