The death toll from Saturday's 7.9-magnitude earthquake in Nepal has been raised to 888, a spokesman for the country's Interior Ministry told dpa. "At least 888 people have been killed in the earthquake according to the latest figures. The casualty is likely to increase," Laxmi Dhakal said. "More than 1,800 are injured. We are still waiting for hear from farflung villages. Rescue work is ongoing."
