Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Paris on Friday on the first leg of a three-nation tour to discuss collaboration on trade, nuclear projects and defence deals, dpa reported. He was scheduled to meet with French President Francois Hollande as well as business leaders and government ministers. The Indian premier was expected to hold talks with French chief executives during two separate roundtables on Friday. "France is one of our closest strategic partners," Modi told newspaper Le Figaro in an interview published prior to his visit. "I am focused on developing our agriculture, industry and service sector. We want to make investing in India easier and more attractive by opening to foreign capital, creating world-class infrastructure, assuring a stable fiscal environment and training our youth."
