The number of seats in Medical Fellowship Program for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the United States of America increases each year as a result of the distinguished effort being exerted by Saudi doctors to reach more than 91 male and female doctors during this year compared to 80 last year. American Medical Fellowship Program is witnessing a strong competition by doctors from various countries around the world whereas 40,000 male and female doctors are competing for the program's 24,000 seats only each year. Dr. Ahmed Abdulaziz Alem, a lecturer from King Abdulaziz University's Department of Emergency Medicine who joined the fellowship program at George Washington University, said that number for this year is better than the previous year and the years that preceded it, citing the excellent and great efforts made by former young male and female students who have been previously accepted in this program and distinguished with their high efficiency at the academic, research or applied levels. He added that "All of these points are important and needed by every American doctor to be convinced that the other doctor from other countries is from the excellent category, and this applies to the Saudi doctor who honored us and made the accepted numbers increase each year and the acceptance of a Saudi visiting doctor in a specific department gives a good picture of all Saudi doctors in different departments," Dr. Ahmed explains that emergency medicine is one of the new department of science compared to surgery, internal medicine or other disciplines of medicine, therefore it is considered a relatively new and nascent. --More 11:26 LOCAL TIME 08:26 GMT تغريد
