JEDDAH: A cancer awareness program will be organized at the Tumors Unit of Female Medicine and Surgery at the King Abdul Aziz University Hospital Wednesday. The campaign is part of the celebration of the International Day Against Cancer, organizers said, adding that the program would include distributing brochures on tumors. “We have coordinated with other departments of the hospital and the college of medicine to participate in the activities of the day in order to increase awareness about the reasons of getting infected by any kind of cancer and how to fight it,” said Dr. Khaled Sait, head of Tumors Unit for Female Medicine and Surgery at King Abdul Aziz University Hospital . He said the hopsital has already encouraged all doctors of Saudi Scientific Group of Female Tumors in the Kingdom to organize such programs all through the year to increase awareness about cancer and care of patients, along with suitable psychological treatment.
