Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir said that several countries desire to join the Determination Storm alliance that aims at restoring security, stability and prosperity in Yemen. Replying to a question by Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the participation of other countries in the alliance, Ambassador Al-Jubeir said that other countries have expressed a desire to participate in the alliance. And talks are being held with them in this regard. Ambassador Al-Jubeir stressed that the alliance is based on the international legitimacy, the request from the legitimate president, the principles of self-defense stated in Article 51 of the UN Charter as well as the collective defense mechanism of the Charter of the Arab League. Ambassador Al-Jubeir said that the alliance countries are working to protect the Yemeni government and people, as well as Yemen's interests, security and stability.
