Japan's minister of State for Foreign Affairs Yasohidi Nakayama held a luncheon party here today in honor of Prince Dr. Turki bin Mohammed bin Saud Al-Kabeer, the Undersecretary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Relations, who is currently on an official visit to Japan. During the party, the two sides exchanged view points on ways of further enhancing relations between the two countries and issues of mutual concern to them as well as incidents taking place in and challenges facing the Middle East. Later, Prince Turki bin Mohammed Al Kabeer met with Japan's former defense minister and member of the parliament's foreign affairs committee Yoriko Kuerki and discussed with her ways of enhancing the relations between the two countries at international platforms and coordinating their two positions to face regional and international crises. During the two meetings, the Saudi foreign affairs senior official discussed with the Japanese officials ways of combating terrorism and extremism as well as the Iranian nuclear file.
