Sheikh, Egypt, Jumada I 22, 1436, Mar 13, 2015, SPA -- A number of GCC countries, taking part in the ongoing Egypt's Economic Conference under the motto: Egypt of the Future, announced today financial support totalling $12.5 billion for the Egyptian conference. Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, announced that the investment authorities in Kuwait have allocated $4 billion of their investments to be used in different sectors of the Egyptian economy through various investment tools. For his part, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates, Prime Minister and Governor of the Emirate of Dubai, announced that his country is providing $4 billion in support of Egypt's economy, explaining that $2 billion will be deposited at Egypt's Central Bank and $2 billion will be used to invigorate the Egyptian economy through a package of assistances to be figured out later. Dr. Yahya bin Mahfouz Al-Minzeri, Chairman of the State's Council of the Sultanate of Oman, who is also Special Representative of Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed, announced his country's $500 million donation to Egypt over five years. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's $4 billion support for the Egyptian economy was announced earlier at the opening session by Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abduziz Al Saud, the Deputy Premier, who is leading his country's delegation to the conference.
