Arab Foreign Ministers on Monday started their 143rd ordinary session at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo to discuss draft resolutions prepared by the permanent delegates on several issues, mainly the protection of Arab national security. Saudi Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Arab League Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Qattan is leading Saudi Arabia's delegation partaking in the session. The meeting discusses 28 clauses related to several topics like the latest developments in the region and how to protect Arab national security and combat terrorist and extremist groups. The gathering also deals with preparations for the coming Arab League Summit due in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh by the end of March. The latest developments related to the Palestinian cause, Jerusalem, settlement, the Israeli separation wall, refugees, the Arab-Israeli conflict and the Arab Peace Initiative are on the agenda. The meeting focuses on backing the Palestinian budget, steadfastness of Palestinians and Israeli measures in Jerusalem.
