The Saudi ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Nabil bin Mohammed Al Saleh participated in a party held by the Mufti of Australia Dr. Ibrahim Abu-Mohammed at Dar Al-Ifta in the Australian city of Sydney in honor of Australia's former Foreign Minister Bob Carr for his supportive position in the Australian parliament for the Palestinian people's rights. Addressing the gathering, Al Saleh paid tribute to the former minister's positions for the Palestinian cause, noting to the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia calling for world acknowledgement of an independent Palestinian state and the inalienable Palestinian rights. The event was attended by a number of Arab ambassadors and Ulemas of the Muslim community in Australia.
