Canadian police said they prevented a public massacre planned in Nova Scotia, arresting three people after finding a fourth suspect dead Friday. Police said they acted on a tip that two or more people had access to firearms and planned to "open fire to kill citizens and then themselves," dpa quoted provincial police official Brian Brennan as saying. "Had they been able to carry out their intention, the possibility for a large loss of life was definitely there," he said. Officers said they found the body of a 19-year-old male suspect at a home in Timberlea, near provincial capital Halifax. A female suspect and two young men aged 17-20 were arrested elsewhere in connection with the investigation.
