A train believed to be carrying propane derailed Monday in the eastern Canadian province of Nova Scotia, but the containers were not leaking, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said. Two people were aboard the train and no injuries were reported, Corporal Scott MacRae said. It was unclear which company was operating the train or how many cars were involved in the accident. "Some containers are on their side and are believed to contain propane. They are not leaking at this time," police said in a statement. Police, fire services, emergency responders, and environmental officials were on site at the accident in West River Station, roughly 150 kilometers northeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Both Canadian National Railway, the country's largest rail operator, and Canadian Pacific Railway, the number two carrier, said that they did not operate the train nor own the line involved.
