The Consulate General in Los Angeles stated that when it received a news regarding Saudi student was shot and transferred to the hospital, the Saudi Deputy Consul General moved to the hospital and followed all required measures and was reassured of the Saudi student. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), in spite of the critical medical condition of Mansour Al Al-Hzobarah which may prevent moving him to another hospital due to the doctor's report, the Consulate responded to the desire of his family to transfer him to another center. The consulate contacted with the cultural attaché in Washington to coordinate with the medical insurance company for transferring the Saudi student by the medical evacuation. The Consul General met with Mansour's brothers and briefed them on the communications, stressing that the transferring decision backs to the doctor's report and depends also on the center they want to treat him through a medical report stating that the medical treatment of the case is available in addition to the center's willingness to receive Mansour until taking all required transferring procedures. But the approval is not sent until the day of Mansour bin Samaan's death. The Consulate General stressed that the center where Mansour was treated is one of the ten best centers in the United States of America. The Consulate General in Los Angeles expressed grief and regret for this painful incident and authorized a lawyer to follow investigations with the American authorities to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice. The Consulate also expressed condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the student Mansour bin Samaan, asking Allah Almighty to bestow his merciful on his soul.
