The great support by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for researchers and scientists in the Kingdom made a Saudi academic to embroider a picture of King Salman bin Abdulaziz with threads of silk and colored cotton. Work on the piece took 45 days. The academic made the piece after winning twice the King's prize and grant for studies and research on the history of the Arabian Peninsula for her masters and doctoral degrees. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Tahani bint Nasser Al-Ajaji, from the Department of Fashion and Textile Design at the School of Art and Design of Prince Nora bint Abdulrahman University, said she embroidered the piece which is 85 cm long and 60 cm wide and submitted it to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz in the year 1435 AH. She handed the piece to him when he received her along others in his office in Jeddah to honor those who won his prize. He was then the crown prince.
