India celebrates Republic Day with Obama in attendance

India celebrated its 66th Republic Day on Monday
with a display of military might and cultural diversity in the
national capital, with US President Barack Obama joining as chief
guest, dpa reported.
India celebrates the day its Constitution was adopted - January 26,
1950 - as Republic Day.
The parade included marching troops, military bands, a show of tanks,
missiles and other military hardware, and camel-mounted paramilitary
troops.
