Germany's RWE to complete sale of oil business to LetterOne by March

German energy group RWE said on Friday it
would complete the 5-billion-euro (6.5-billion-dollar) sale of its
oil business unit to LetterOne Group, a company controlled by Russian
oligarch Mikhail Fridman, by March at the latest, dpa reported.
Under a revised deal, LetterOne will keep operations by Dea oil
production company in the North Sea separate from other activities
for a number of years, RWE said in a statement on its website.
Britain had objected to the sale after Western sanctions imposed on
Russia for its annexation of Crimea from Ukraine.
