Youm newspaper mocked Iran's attempts to hold the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia responsibile for slumping oil prices while the kingdom itself is affected too. It said that Iran - which squandered its wealth to support extremist organizations everywhere, buying arms, and denying Iranian citizens of development opportunities - feels today the weight of its historical mistakes against its citizens, who were born since the revolution, and had the dream of a State of development and stability. Al-Sharq newspaper wrote about the situations in Yemen, saying that the new Yemeni government found itself unable to cope with the Iranian-backed Houthi rebellion, so it decided to deal with it through controversial decisions to appoint officials affiliated with Houthis and the former regime in senior positions connected to the Special Security Forces (formerly Central Security). It explained that these decisions and concurrent events reflect the size of the threat posed by Houthis on the Yemeni state, while they are "swallowing" Yemeni institutions, one after the other. It considered that the current Yemeni government needs to the widest range of support of components of society that refuse to drop the sovereignty of Yemeni State in the hands of the Houthis.
