LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers continues to lead in Eastern Conference NBA All-Star balloting, the league said Thursday after the third round of voting. James has collected 971,299 fan votes but his lead has been reduced to a mere 13,285 over the 958,014 for Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors, who continues to lead in the Western Conference. The top 10 vote-getters remain unchanged from last week. James is joined in the East frontcourt by Spaniard Pau Gasol of the Chicago Bulls with 527,582 votes and the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony with 456,186. The Washington Wizards' John Wall and Miami Heat's Dwyane are tops in backcourt with 564,977 and 507,326 votes, respectively. Curry is currently teamed in the West backcourt with 16-time All-Star Kobe Bryant of the LA Lakers, who has received 862,568 votes. The frontcourt is led by New Orleans Pelicans' Anthony Davis with 922,381 votes, LA Clippers' Blake Griffin and Spaniard Marc Gasol of the Memphis Grizzlies with 490,786 and 476,660 votes, respectively. Balloting ends on January 19 and the starters will be announced three days later.
