At least 19 people died in north-eastern Nigeria after an explosion ripped through a crowded bus station Monday, police said. According to dpa, the blast occurred in the town of Gombe, where a bombing attributed to the radical group Boko Haram already killed about 30 people on October 31. "Several bodies litter the park," witness Hammanga Suleiman told dpa, referring to the bus station. Gombe police commissioner Kudu Nmam said 19 people had been killed and 25 injured. The Red Cross gave an even higher figure. "The Red Cross mobilized with 20 body bags and they have all been exhausted. We are still looking for more bodies among the carnage," the website Naij quoted Red Cross representative Abubakar Yakubu Gome as saying.
