A university in Nigeria closed on Tuesday following bomb threats from a radical group, dpa reported. The University of Maiduguri, in the northeast region, said it could no longer protect its students against Boko Haram, a group which is opposed to Western education. The broadcaster BBC reported from the city of Maiduguri that people were fleeing as fighting intensified between the army and Boko Haram. Clashes in the morning saw further casualties, with at least four people reported killed. -- SPA
