12 injured after flight hits turbulence near Japan

An American Airlines jet made an emergency landing at
Tokyo's Narita International Airport early Wednesday after hitting
turbulence that injured at least 12 passengers, dpa cited a news report as saying.
The US-bound flight carrying 240 passengers and 15 crew members
encountered the turbulence around 7:30 pm Tuesday (1030 GMT) after
departing from Seoul at 6:15 pm, Japanese authorities said.
