Russia is to help India build at least 10 more reactors to expand its civilian nuclear power programme, dpa cited Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as saying Thursday. Modi's comments came after a summit meeting with Russian President Vlamir Putin in the Indian capital. "Today, we have outlined an ambitious vision for nuclear energy of at least 10 more reactors. It will have the highest standards of safety in the world. It will also include manufacture of equipment and components in India," Modi said. Putin said the two countries had also agreed to cooperate to build nuclear power plants for third countries.
