Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon. The Minister of Hajj and Acting Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hajjar said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Cabinet was briefed on a number of reports on the latest developments at regional, Arab and international arenas, and Arab efforts to discuss ways of supporting the Palestinian cause. The Cabinet stressed in this context the decision issued at the end of the extraordinary meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of foreign ministers to discuss ways of supporting the Palestinian cause and its approval of the plan for the Arab movement to end the Israeli occupation of the territories of the State of Palestine, and the plan's submission of the Arab draft resolution to end occupation formally before the United Nations Security Council. The Cabinet congratulated the Kingdom of Bahrain on successful parliamentary and municipal councils elections, affirming that this success reflects the extent of the great cohesion between the leadership and the people of Bahrain in the framework of the pioneering reform project of King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Cabinet was briefed on the results of the 133rd session of the Preparatory Ministerial Council for the 35th session of the Supreme Council of the leaders of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Arab States and on topics pertaining to the GCC joint action in all areas. The Cabinet commended the statement issued by the 4th Joint Ministerial Meeting of GCC foreign Gulf ministers which concluded in Qatar with the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs of Jordan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Morocco, on the development of relations and keenness on serving the common interests, and the GCC fixed positions on regional and international issues. --More 15:11 LOCAL TIME 12:11 GMT تغريد
