Top German Olympic official criticizes FIFA, fears for Games bid

Alfons Hoermann, president of the German Olympic
Sports Federation (DOSB), on Friday criticized football governing
body FIFA's investigation into the award of the 2018 and 2022 World
Cups and said it could impact on a German bid for the Olympic Games, dpa reported.
"The whole thing is very unpleasant," Hoermann told dpa in an
interview. "It would be good if the whole process of the awards (to
Russia and Qatar) could be clarified, communicated clearly and is
finally brought to an end."
