Muslims performed Istisqa (Rain-seeking) prayer throughout the regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Monday morning, in pursuant of the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) during the delay of rainfall, praying to Allah Almighty for rainfall urgently. In Makkah, the prayer was performed at the Grand Holy Mosque, and attended by Undersecretary of Governorate of Makkah Region Saad bin Muqbil Al-Maimouni. In Madinah, the prayer was performed at the Prophet's Mosque and attended by Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah region. In Riyadh, Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region, performed the prayer at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque. The Prayer was led by The Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and President of Council of Senior Scholars and General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh. The prayer was also performed in other regions and attended by Governors of Regions and senior officials. The preachers called in their sermons for praying to Allah Almighty for rainfall and forgiveness.
