At least 10 police officers and a civilian were killed Monday in insurgent attacks across Afghanistan, which left 10 other people injured, dpa reported. A roadside bomb hit a bus carrying police academy staff, killing three officers and injuring three more in the eastern province of Nangarhar. "The bomb was placed on the route of the academy staff bus on the outskirts of Jalalabad city, near the Behsood district," said Hazrat Hussain Mashreqiwal, provincial police spokesman. Of six officers hit, "three of them lost their lives in the hospital," Mashreqiwal said. In the neighboring province of Logar, seven policemen and a civilian were killed when a suicide bomber in uniform blew himself up.
