Anne Richard, the U.S. assistant secretary of state for population, refugees, and migration, will travel to Berlin, Germany to attend an international conference on the Syrian refugee crisis, the State Department announced Monday. More than 40 senior diplomats and representatives from organizations will join Richard on October 27 to 29 to figure out ways to increase donor contribution, and to help support refugee-hosting countries. The United States has already contributed $2.9 billion to help Syrian refugees within the country and in the region.
