AlHijjah 10, 1435, Oct 4, 2014, SPA -- Two people who contracted the Ebola virus in West Africa and were flown to Germany and France for treatment have made a full recovery, officials said Saturday. A Senegalese researcher - the first patient to be flown to Germany for treatment - recovered several days ago and was discharged from hospital Friday, Hamburg's university clinic said. According to dpa, the man caught the virus while working in a laboratory in Sierra Leone on behalf of the World Health Organization. He arrived in Hamburg in late August and is one of two patients in Germany for treatment. "He is well and he has not been infectious for several days. We are very pleased that he will now be able to return home," the hospital said in a statement.
