AlHijjah 07, 1435, October 01, 2014, SPA -- Australian air force spy and refuelling planes will immediately join the fight against ISIS in Iraq, Prime Minister Tony Abbott told parliament Wednesday, according to dpa. But Australia is so far only mounting a support operation against what the premier has called the "apocalyptic death cult," Abbott said. "We have not yet made a final decision to commit our forces to combat but Australian aircraft from today will start flying over Iraq in support of allied operations," Abbott told parliament. Australia has E-7A Wedgetail airborne early warning and control aircraft and air refuelling planes already in the Middle East along with eight F/A-18F Super Hornet combat planes and 600 military personnel, including special forces.
