AlHijjah 06, 1435, September 30, 2014, SPA -- Annual inflation in the eurozone slumped to a near five-year low in September, data released on Tuesday showed, dpa reported. Consumer prices edged down to 0.3 per cent, compared with 0.4 per cent in August, the European statistics office Eurostat said. The decline was in line with analysts' forecasts. The drop pushed prices further away from the European Central Bank's target of an annual inflation rate just below 2 per cent. Leading the September fall was a another drop in energy costs, Eurostat said.
