AlQa'dah 26, 1435, Sep 21, 2014, SPA -- Nearly 100,000 Syrian Kurds fleeing the ISIS militant group have crossed into Turkey in the past three days, dpa cited a UN official as saying on Sunday. "The number is close to 100,000," says Selin Unal, a spokeswoman for the UN refugee agency. "And the people keep coming." Turkish authorities and the United Nations are preparing for the possibility that hundreds of thousands of Syrian Kurds will flee to Turkey in the coming days, the office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said. At least 150,000 people have fled their homes around Kabone since then, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a pro-opposition group that monitors the Syrian conflict. Many refugees have already crossed into Turkey while large numbers are still stranded along the border amid fierce clashes between the jihadists and Kurdish militiamen, the Britain-based watchdog said. It expressed concern for the fate of 800 Kurdish civilians who were unaccounted for after the Islamic State's recent advances. At least 11 civilians had been executed by the jihadists, the monitoring group said. -- SPA 19:51 LOCAL TIME 16:51 GMT تغريد
