Abbott hopes to sign deal to sell Australian uranium to India

Qa'dah 8, 1435, Sep 3, 2014, SPA -- Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said he hoped to
sign a deal to sell uranium to India during his first official visit
starting Wednesday, dpa reported.
He was scheduled to hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra
Modi.
"I am hoping to sign a nuclear cooperation agreement that will enable
uranium sales by Australia to India," Abbott said.
Australia wants to strengthen ties with India under Modi's newly
elected government, he said.
