Hamad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said that the session was held amid "positive spirit" and in line with directives of the GCC leaders who stressed keenness on forging ahead with the bloc's march that started more than 33 years ago to counter the challenges lying ahead. "I can confirm that the leaders of GCC states are keen on getting rid of all differences, in line with their keenness on proceeding with the march," he further said. He underlined the fact that the GCC members realize the risks surrounding the region, a matter which prompts rapid removal of "impurities and obstacles." "We have agreed on the importance of implementing commitments, and God willing, we will witness the results of the agreement as soon as possible," Sheikh Khalid Al-Sabah added. On the return of ambassadors, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister said: "This may happen any time." The 132nd session today had several regional and international issues on the agenda, Sheikh Khalid Al-Sabah said. On the proposed coalition recently announced by the US President Barak Obama to counter terrorism, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister said: "We are waiting for details to know what is required to be done over the coming period. At present we do not have adequate information, or details." On reports regarding a GCC-Egyptian common initiative for solving the Syrian crisis, Sheikh Khalid Al-Sabah said that the Syrian issue is a permanent topic on the GCC Ministerial Council's agenda and that it will be discussed during the meeting of Arab foreign ministers on September 7, 2014 in Cairo. -- SPA 23:38 LOCAL TIME 20:38 GMT تغريد
