Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier, Advisor and Special Envoy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday afternoon.
At the outset of the session, the Cabinet was briefed on the outcomes of the talks held by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud with President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi of Arab Republic of Egypt during which they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and overall events taking place at Islamic, Arab and international arenas topped by the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, commending deep relations between the two brotherly countries and the keenness of both sides on developing them in various fields.
The Minister of Housing and Acting Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Shuwaish bin Saud Al-Dhuwaihi said in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session that the Cabinet was also briefed on communications and consultations held during the past few days with a number of leaders of brotherly and friendly countries on the latest development of situations in the region and the world, especially the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza from continuous Israeli aggression, and the deterioration of situations in Syria and Iraq, renewing again the Kingdom's call on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards this humanitarian tragic situations.
The Cabinet expressed in this regard its thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his interest and keenness on the Islamic nation and his aspirations that security and stability prevail all over the world, stressing that the King's speech addressed to Islamic and Arab nations and the international community emanated from the sincere heart believing in the right and putting all in front of their moral responsibilities and religious and legitimate duty to stand in the face of those who try to abduct Islam and present it to the world as a religion of extremism, hatred and terrorism, and have distorted the image of Islam in its purity, clarity and humanity.
