The Committee in charge of the follow-up public transport in Makkah has announced that the number of worshipers and Umrah performers who have been transported from and to the Grand Mosque since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan until the end of 26th day of same month amounted to 20 million passengers by 1255 buses, while the number of vehicles that have been parked during that period in the external and internal parking in Makkah reached more than one million cars. This comes as the Committee continues its tasks to transport Umrah performers and worshipers across a strategic plan developed under the directives of Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Makkah region, Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee and Chairman of the Supreme Commission to monitor the transfer of pilgrims, and will continue until the day of Eid Al-Fitr.
