England claimed a 13th gold medal of the Commonwealth Games Saturday with victory in the mixed team triathlon event. Australia also moved on to 13 gold medals after Annette Edmondson won the women's 10-kilometre track cycling scratch race ahead of compatriot Amy Cure and Daniel Repacholi set a new finals record of 199.5 in the men's 10m air pistol. Francesca Jones won the individual ribbon event to give Wales its first gold medal while England's Michael Gault equalled the all-time Commonwealth Games record of 18 medals after he won bronze in the men's 10-metre air pistol final As expected, England's Vicky Holland, Jonathan Brownlee, Jodie Stimpson and Alistair Brownlee claimed an easy victory in the mixed team triathlon relay, completed the 400m swim, 6km cycle, and 1.6km run course in a total time of one hour 13 minutes and 24 seconds. South Africa took silver 49 seconds back with Australia third.
