Five Saudi and other Arab relief caravans arrived in Rafah to assist Palestinian needy people and work is underway to send the materials into Gaza, it was reported here today. Chief of the Egyptian Red Cross Jaber Al-Arabi said in a press statement that five consignments including 29 trailers laden with drugs, medical appliances, foodstuffs and other relief items from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco reached the port of Rafah. He added that his organization is currently in the process of handing the materials over to the Palestinian side to distribute them over the needy.
