Five killed in clash between Philippine troops and militants

Three militants and two government
militiamen were killed in a clash in the southern Philippines, the
military said Friday, according to dpa.
One of those killed was a junior commander of militants, said Captain Maria Rowena
Muyuela, a regional military spokeswoman.
Eight people were also wounded in the fighting on Thursday in the
town of Unkaya Pukan in Basilan province, 900 kilometres south of
Manila.
