US Congratulates Indonesia on Election

The United States on Tuesday congratulated the people of Indonesia for holding successful elections and President-elect Joko Widodo on his victory.
"The people of Indonesia united once again to show their commitment to democracy through free and fair elections," U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said in a statement released by the State Department.
"The United States looks forward to working with President elect Widodo as we deepen our partnership, promote our shared objectives globally, and expand people-to-people ties between our nations," Kerry wrote.
