Microsoft is to cut up to 18,000 jobs as part of a restructuring plan following its acquisition of Nokia devices, the software giant announced Thursday. "These steps will result in the elimination of up to 18,000 positions over the next year," dpa quoted Microsoft as saying in a statement. Most of the job cuts are expected to be implemented by the end of the year, with additional cuts completed by the end of June 2015. The restructuring plans were outlined in an email to employees by chief executive officer Satya Nadella.
