Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday evening. At the outset of the session, the Cabinet was briefed on the outcome of the talks between the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Yemeni President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi, lauding the relations between the two countries and their keenness on supporting and enhancing them in all fields. The Cabinet was also briefed on the telephone call between the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the latest developments at regional and international arenas. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, said that the Cabinet was briefed on a number of reports regarding the latest developments at Arab, regional and international arenas, especially the aggression against the Palestinian people in light of Israeli military escalation on the Palestinian territories. The Cabinet lauded the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' directives in support of the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza with SR200 million for securing immediate needs of medicines and medical equipment and supplies necessary to treat the victims of the Israeli attacks against Gaza Strip. In this regard, the Cabinet expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation of the Israeli military escalation and a series of brutal raids on Gaza Strip which martyred hundreds and injured many Palestinians, renewing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's call to the Security Council of the United Nations and Human Rights Council in Geneva to shoulder their duties and apply the Fourth Geneva Convention against Israel and take a quick movement to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip in addition to all crimes and violations against the Palestinian people. --More 00:29 LOCAL TIME 21:29 GMT تغريد
