Jordanian Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour met here today with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who started a tour to the region in an attempt to stop the escalation and to reach a truce in the Gaza Strip. During the meeting, Ensour told the German minister that the current developments in the Middle East have implications and repercussions on the countries of the region, including Jordan, stressing that the Palestinian issue is the main conflict and that the region will not enjoy stability as long as no just solution for the Palestinian cause is found. The Jordanian prime minister underlined the repercussions of the Syrian crisis on Jordan, which hosts 1.4 million refugees Syrian and highlighted the economic, social and security challenges they place on infrastructure and job opportunities in host communities.
